Library Services: General Information

For the health of staff, faculty, students and the greater community, the Library is closed to practice social distancing. This page outlines the services that are available during this temporary closure.

Library Materials

Curbside Pick-up

Curbside Pick-up is now available for print materials. This includes items requested from other libraries. Due to quarantining protocols, we are unable to process Course Reserves at this time.

Inter-library Loans

Print and electronic inter-library loans are available. Print ILLs are checked out via Curbside Pick up. Contact Diana Lundell with questions about Inter-library loan. 

Book Quarantining

All physical materials are quarantined for 72 hours before they can be checked out. This includes inter-library loans. 

Due Dates

For your convenience, you can access your library account online. 

For students not enrolled in Fall semester: All library materials are due July 31th. There is a box for library items at the west entrance of the building. This box is monitored by Security. We do not charge late fees for books or DVDs; however we do charge for items that are declared lost. Contact library staff if you have extenuating circumstances. 


Returning Materials

There is a box for library returns inside the West entrance of campus. It is open Monday - Thursday from 8am - 5pm. 

Online Access

With the exception of AllData and Mitchell Automotive, all library databases are available off campus. This includes access to thousands of eBooks, reference materials, news, streaming videos, and trade and scholarly publications. 


The Library is not able to check-out textbooks on reserve for Summer Session. There are two options:

  1. Contact your instructor, who may have e-copies available. 
  2. Contact Diana Tallent, who may be able to find a temporarily free eBook.

Research Assistance

Chat: The reference chat can be found on the library main page and library research guides. 

The librarians will continue to provide research assistance via email. The library chat system will continue to operate 24/7.  

Service Desk/Circulation Assistance

The physical library is closed. However, library staff are available via email and phone.

Equipment Check-outs

Chromebooks, Ipads, and Hotspots

The library has Chromebooks, iPads, and hotspots available for check out for Summer Session and Fall Semester. Please email library staff to arrange a pick-up. This is a free check-out for registered students. 


Please note: Chromebooks do not have lock down browser capability. 

Due Dates 

For returning students: Chromebook due dates have been extended until December 20th for students enrolled in Fall semester. 

For students not enrolled for Fall semester:  Chromebooks are due July 31st. Chromebooks can be returned inside the west entrance to campus.
