LibKey Nomad: Nomad Overview

How to use and install the browser add-on LibKey Nomad, which analyzes your searches on the web and connects to your library's resources, such as article databases and ebooks.

What is LibKey Nomad?

LibKey NomadLibKey Nomad icon is a browser extension that works by searching webpages you are viewing for citations to scholarly articles or ebooks using the DOI (Digital Object Identifier), or PMID (PubMed ID), or other identifying numbers.  If it finds one of these IDs, it provides a button to link you to the full-text article in the Library's holdings.  If a full-text article or book is not available, you can still do an interlibrary loan (print or electronic) through the Saint Paul College Library.  LibKey is compatible with Google Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Brave, and Vivaldi.

Installing LibKey Nomad

LibKey is a browser extension / plug-in that is compatible with Chrome, Safari, Edge, FireFox, Opera, Brave, and Vivaldi. Open your browser and navigate to https://libkeynomad.com.  Choose the correct browser installation link to begin the process:

After installing, select your institution by typing in "Saint Paul College" and select it. Once selected, you should see a green alert saying your Library selection has been saved.  After installation, you should start seeing Nomad links on websites when applicable.
