About the Library: Mission & Vision

Mission

The Saint Paul College Library fosters an inclusive community of empowered learners by providing access to information, ideas, instruction, and inspiration.

The Library offers a wide range of resources including fiction and nonfiction books, academic databases, graphing calculators, and Minnesota’s largest culinary collection. The Library is a quiet, comfortable place to study, with computers, a printer, a copier/scanner, and a dedicated book scanner, all of which can be used with a current Saint Paul College StarID and password. All faculty, staff, and students may check out materials with their Saint Paul College ID, or a current state ID or passport.

Borrowing Books

All faculty, staff, and students may check out materials with their Saint Paul College ID, or a current state ID or passport.

To borrow a book, take the book and your ID to the Service Desk, located near the door. One of the library's fantastic work-study students will check the book out to you and let you know the due date.

Course Reserves

Instructors may place books and other materials on reserve for students to use while they are in the library. To see if there are materials available for your classes, visit the library home page and scroll down to the search bar. Click the "Course Reserves" button, and enter either the course number or subject area.

To borrow material on reserve, you'll need to visit the service desk, just inside the door to the library. Let the students at the desk know what you're looking for and hand them your student ID--they'll handle the rest!
