Open Educational Resources (OERs): About OERs

Open Educational Resources (OERs) are freely available educational materials. OERs are licensed under Create Commons and allow for adaptations. OERs are found in a variety of formats including textbooks and interactive web-based tutorials.  

Traditional Instructional materials include: 

• eBooks of textbooks or essay collections
• videos of tutorials and lectures

Supplementary and Planning Materials:

• courses and lesson plans
• test banks
• supplemental practice materials
